Here is a taste of their Hinulawan festival. Hinulawan comes from 'bulawan', a Bisayan term for gold.

assignments

A few months ago, I went on a photo assignment in Aloguinsan. That's a sleepy town at the midwestern coast of the Cebu island. I stayed there for 3 days to do a photo shoot on an estuary named Bojo.

I'm going to Pinamungajan, Cebu tomorrow to shoot some caves and do a mountain resort there. I'll post some pictures when i get back. :)

San Francisco Cave

More than a kilometer from the main town of San Francisco, Camotes, you will find this hidden cave pool. This cave is not a popular tourist destination as only townfolks have been exploring the place. In the belief of some spirits living inside the cave, some residents near the area have erected a small grotto of the Virgin Mary.

The underground pool extends to around 20 feet inside. Spelunkers say that the end is a big bowl of unfathomable water.
